The promise made when President Obama took office was that if we passed his $1 trillion stimulus package, the unemployment rate would never again be north of 8% and the US economy would significantly improve.
Instead, all of that money was basically squandered, used partly as payback to political contributers. A perfect example is the case of the government loan made toSolyndra, the now bankrupt solar energy company.
This is the company that one of the top Obama fundraisers was an investor in. The company that all who examined it knew was doomed for failure.
Now, in an episode of finger-pointing at everything and everyone (but himself of course), the President is telling the country that if his meager, $400 billion jobs bill does not pass, the blame for the struggling economy will be squarely on the doorstep of theRepublican Party.
It doesn't work that way although the mainstream media, in the pocket of theDemocrat Party, will do its best to paint whatever picture the White House wants them to.
Perhaps the President should man-up, take his political lumps for the failure that his administration has been, step aside and for the good of the country not seek a second term in the White House.
